Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do you sell?

We sell high-quality compatible toner cartridges for all major printer brands, including HP, Canon, Konica, Samsung, Lexmark, Xerox, and more.
We do stock some originals for now, with more coming soon.

2. How much is delivery?

Flat rate: R110 nationwide – no matter the size of your order or where you are in South Africa.
Delivery usually takes 2–5 business days, depending on your area.


3. Do you offer same-day or express delivery?

Not yet.
If your order is urgent, please contact us and we’ll do our best to get it to you ASAP.


4. What payment methods do you accept?

  • EFT
  • Instant payments
  • Credit / Debit cards (via secure payment gateway)

5. Do you offer bulk deals?

Yes.

Bulk orders can be processed offline.


6. What is the TIPS program?

TIPS = Talon Incentivized Profit Sharing

Every purchase, no matter the amount, automatically enters you into a monthly draw where one lucky customer wins 5% of our net monthly profits.

  • No extra entry required
  • Winner announced early the following month via Email / WhatsApp

We could spend money on ads… but we’d rather reward our clients – not with vouchers or discounts, but with cold hard cash.


7. How does the TIPS draw work?

  • One winner randomly selected each month from all completed purchases
  • Every 6 months, one additional person is added to the program
  • Maximum of 5 winners in total
  • Winners are notified directly
  • Winners announced on X and Facebook (first name only, optional)
  • Prize paid out once verified
  • All taxes are the winner’s responsibility

8. What’s your returns policy?

  • Unopened / unused items: Full refund within 30 days
  • After 30 days: Store credit or exchange only (up to 60 days max)
  • No returns on empty or near-empty cartridges (less than 20% toner)
  • Compatible toners are made-to-order
    • No refunds on opened/used compatibles
    • Warranty still applies

9. What warranty do you offer?

  • Compatible toners: 3-month carry-in warranty
    • If faulty, return it to us (shipping at your cost)
    • We’ll repair or replace it
  • Original cartridges: Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty

10. How do I return a faulty item?

Email 📧 returns@talontek.co.za with:

  • A clear description of the problem
  • Photos of the issue (error messages, leaks, etc.)

We’ll guide you from there.
Usually, we need the item returned first for testing.


11. Do you have a physical store?

Nah bru 😄
We’re 100% online for now – this keeps prices low and delivery nationwide simple.
All orders ship from Durban.


12. Can I track my order?

Not yet.
Once we finalize our preferred courier, order tracking will be added.


13. Are your compatibles good quality?

Ja, 100%.
We only stock premium compatibles that match or beat originals in:

  • Print quality
  • Page yield

And that 3-month warranty backs it up.
